Patients now register with the practice rather than with a named GP. However, you may continue to consult with a doctor of your choice. It is best to see the same doctor for follow up of any one condition. You may be offered a consultation soon after you register to discuss your general health, previous illnesses and medication. The Health Care Assistant or Practice Nurse will perform some routine checks e.g. height, weight, blood pressure.
